Arevik Karabakhtsian’s musical journey began at the esteemed Sayat-Nova Music School, where she first nurtured her passion for piano. Her academic pursuits led her to the Romanos Melikyan Music College, further deepening her expertise in piano performance. Arevik’s dedication to music education continued at the Yerevan State Conservatory named after Komitas, where she refined her skills and developed a comprehensive understanding of music theory and performance.

Upon completing her higher education, Arevik returned to her alma mater, Sayat-Nova Music School, to give back to the community as a piano instructor. Her commitment to fostering musical talent was also evident in her role as a concertmeister at the Igityan Esthetic Center, where she worked closely with aspiring musicians and performers.

In 1994, Arevik relocated to the United States, bringing her wealth of knowledge and passion for music education to the International School of Music in Glendale, California. Since then, she has been a pivotal member of the faculty, dedicating her career to the music education of the young generation. Arevik’s teaching philosophy is centered on encouraging creativity and expression through music, ensuring that each of her students not only learns the technical aspects of piano but also develops a love for the art form itself.

At the International School of Music, Arevik continues to inspire and mentor students, contributing significantly to their growth as musicians and individuals. Her deep commitment to education and her extensive background in music make her an invaluable asset to the school and her students.
